Julia is a Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker with an extensive background in research, as well as a diverse set of clinical experiences. Prior to completing her Masters in Social Work at the University of Southern California, she gained a solid foundation in mental health research, having coordinated, evaluated, and administered nation-wide initiatives at both Stanford University and the National Center for PTSD through the Veteran’s Administration. During her graduate studies, she offered therapy services to Spanish-speaking clients at the Consulate of El Salvador in Los Angeles, and she also received extensive training and practice in a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities including CBT, CBASP, DBT, ACT, ERP, CPT, and PE at Harbor UCLA’s Adult Outpatient Psychiatry unit. Currently, Julia is one of the intake coordinators and clinicians for the Davis location for Auburn Davis Center for DBT, in addition to co-leading weekly DBT Skills Groups here and consulting weely on individual cases with part of a DBT adherent team. She also offers a range of evidence-based therapies and helps connect veterans to a variety of services at the San Jose VA Clinic as an Associate Clinical Mental Health Social Worker.
