I have been licensed as a marriage and family therapist for over 15 years. I earned my B.S. in psychology from Walla Walla University in Washington, where I did extensive research on depression and seasonal affective disorder. That is when I developed my love for counseling and education. I went on to receive my Masters degree in clinical psychology from Azusa Pacific University in Southern California, graduating with honors. During my 3000 hour internship I received training at Juvenile hall, group homes, and domestic violence shelters, and developed intensive parenting curriculums for several counties. In recent years, I have been working primarily with families. I’ve received extensive training in DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy), which is the current focus of my practice.
